Nuovo has long had a reputation for high standards of hotel cleanliness with well-established cleaning processes and training in place. We have also made additions in service to tackle the realities of the COVID-19 pandemic at the hotel level.

COVID 19
On a daily basis, we are working to ensure that we meet the latest guidance on hygiene and cleaning. Our hotels’ health and safety measures are designed to address a broad spectrum of viruses, including COVID-19, and include everything from handwashing hygiene and cleaning product specifications to guest room and common area cleaning procedures.
We are committed to monitoring the latest guidance from the CDC and WHO and are updating their protocols and developing appropriate guidelines which include everything from training on safety, sanitation and social distancing protocols to providing appropriate personal protective equipment.
We’ve increased the frequency of cleaning and focusing on high-touch areas and shared public spaces.
Guest Rooms: Hotels continue to use cleaning and disinfecting protocols recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and World Health Organization (WHO) to clean rooms after guests depart and before the next guest arrives, with particular attention paid to high-touch items.
Public Spaces: Hotels have increased the frequency of cleaning and disinfecting in public spaces, with a focus on the counter at the front desk, elevators and elevator buttons, door handles, public bathrooms, and room keys.
Back of House: In the spaces where associates work “behind the scenes,” hotels are increasing the frequency of cleaning and focusing on high-touch areas like associate entrances, locker rooms, laundry rooms and staff offices.
Thorough Sanitation + Disinfection
Cleaning a surface simply removes visible debris, dirt and dust. Sanitizing a surface makes that surface sanitary or free of visible dirt contaminants that could affect your health. Sanitizing is meant to reduce, not kill, the occurrence and growth of bacteria, viruses and fungi.
Disinfecting a surface is appropriate for frequently touched surfaces and surfaces likely to harbor pathogens. Disinfecting a surface will “kill” microscopic organisms. The reduction of pathogen populations on environmental surfaces is exponentially better when you disinfect.

Lobby coverage, floor cleaning, and restroom maintenance are often key services provided here to keep up with all the foot traffic and usage of your facilities to give the best impression.

Our public-facing team of porters is able to provide excellent customer service combined with cleaning and preventative maintenance. Our porters are friendly, helpful and will be trained in the specifics of your business.
